The Nissan Kicks returns this 2019 model year as a cost-effective, fuel-efficient, and customizable small crossover that delivers on both personalized style and nimble drivability. There are three trim levels for drivers to choose from - the S, SV, and SR. They're all powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque and is paired to a continuously variable transmission. Drivers can also further personalize their rides using the Kicks Color Studio, where they can choose from a wide selection of available accents and finishers, including a front lip finisher, side mirror caps, door handle covers, and a rear roof spoiler. All of this means that Kicks buyers feel they had a hand in designing their vehicle, making the experience of driving it all the more exciting.

Comfort and Convenience

Nissan took care to deliver ample comfortable and convenient amenities to the '19 Kicks. While the base S trim offers some standard features, including push-button ignition, roof rails, and three USB ports, the SV adds a touch of luxury by including heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, interior chrome accents, and automatic climate control with rear heater ducts. With the highest-priced SR trim, drivers can enjoy everything included in the SV, plus LED headlights and foglights, upgraded cloth upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Buyers of that trim can also opt for the SR Premium Package to get an eight-speaker Bose audio system, simulated-leather upholstery, and heated front seats. All trim levels include 60/40 second-row split-folding seats as well for additional storage capacity.

Technology and Safety

Nissan Intelligent Mobility adds driver assistance features to the Kicks, especially at the higher trim levels. The base S trim gets forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and the SV and SR add a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert; the SR also gets a surround-view parking camera system. All trims are decked out with airbags galore, including dual-stage supplemental front airbags with driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact airbags, a driver supplemental knee airbag, and roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags for front and rear-seat outboard occupants' head protection.

The '19 Kicks delivers some impressive standard technology features for each trim level. For example, the base S includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system complete with Siri Eyes Free integration, three USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system with Bluetooth capability. The SV upgrades to SiriusXM satellite radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, while the SR brings to the table the option for a Bose Personal Plus audio system complete with eight speakers and Bose UltraNearfield Driver Headrest Speakers. All in all, the '19 Kicks delivers some impressive technological features, especially given its affordability.
